Bits and pieces of Dot-3 have been around since 2004, although it was on the first day of the year 2006 that I hammered into my head that I'd better do something with it, or it would shrivel up and die in a corner of cyberspace. What you see now is the result, with some minor and major modifications.
Dot-3's name originates from the word "ellipsis," which is basically a fancy word for the three periods (or dots) someone may type when he or she is at a loss for words and doesn't know what to say.* I basically just typed "Dot-Three" and tweaked it a little to make "Dot-Cubed."
Dot-3 is currently hosted by the wonderful Amanda, who, as she put it, "rescued [me] from the deep, dark, disgusting depths of Geocities." I'm eternally grateful to her for hosting me, as she's offered me so many things that I didn't have access to at Geocities.
The current layout features Jonathan Foreman, lead singer of the band Switchfoot, and their lovely song "Stars." The pictures were taken by sendusout at Flickr.
* In formal writing, the main use of the ellipsis is to denote that the writer has omitted some words in a quote, but I detest formal writing, so let's ignore this.
